2022 reverse camera fitting

Hi does anyone know if the wiring is likely to be all in place if I fit a genuine Ford reversing camera to my 2022 transit? It has parking sensors and one of those smart mirrors. Unfortunately the smart camera will not pan down enough to see the tow ball when I reverse up to a trailer, I expect a reversing camera would show the tow ball as previous ones I have had did. Any help appreciated. Thanks

im in the same boat but i have a 2021 limited.

looking at the online shopw ford has https://shop.ford.co.uk/products/transi ... 18-05-2020 this which doesnt make it clear the pre-req for the job. i believe you might need some updating to the software for this to work. ive installed the one above the number plate and have been told t0o run a 7 core cable to the camera which im in the process of researching and figureing out. will update if i found out for you.

so looking into my van which is a limited without the reverse camera. the loom you have connected at the minute to the number plate lights is "FEKA 4021000590" which is then connected to GK2T-13B472-ABF" there is an 8 pin connector that connects the 2 and currently its only got 2 cables on each side. the one for the camera needs to have 7 cables. but even if you upgrade these 2 parts the issue is the next loom which is "GK2T-14334-CC" this doesnt have the 7 cables either which will be needed so you would need to upgrade this loom which looks like a bigger job. which is why i bought a 7 core 16amp cable and will terminate into the connetor at the back and front of the van to get the 7 cables in place. just need to find the documents to detail the pinout and correct locations.
