Forscan what hardware and software do I need?

Postby Pro-Active » Thu Jun 15, 2023 5:12 pm

Need to do pump and injector learns on my 2011 Ford Transit mk7, just wondering what Forscan hardware and software do I need to do the learns on the van? Is it fairly easy to do or leave it to a professional? Are there any tutorials?

Many thanks for the information and advice

Fairly simple to do..Forscan is very "intuitive" and basically walks you through the procedure.

Well that experience reminded me why I hate Microsoft. Anyone need a forscan dongle. I'll stick to my Autel I think!

Autel unit will have "very limited" functionality compared to Forscan.

I downloaded it onto my laptop and it initially ran, then stopped working (I suspect a drivers issue) in my frustration I bought a second hand laptop with windows and installed it on that. I couldn't get it to even recognise the dingle. I imagine a Microsoft thing again.
Do you know the most stable windows platform to use for it ? After playing either my autel, I did realise how little it does in comparison.
