Chewed Adblue Injector cable - can I just replace the cable?

Postby pieter888 » Mon Jan 29, 2024 7:02 pm

HEllo all,

I have a Euro 6 ford transit from 2019.
I am wondering how sensitive it is to replace the cable of the Adblue injector.
An animal chewed through the cable. I could get the whole injector replaced, but this will likely cost about 600euros. :?

So is it ok replace part of the cable and use some connectors ?
The cable itself is pretty stiff and doesn't seem to solder easily (I tried)

Would a tiny bit of change in the electrical resistance of the cable result in different in the Adblue injector working differently?
THanks for your replies / insights
