Radio on mute after battery installation

Postby Dog lover » Fri Apr 05, 2024 12:42 am

Van was in storage with battery out. Was just pulled out and we reinstalled battery. Now radio is on mute and no sound can coming out. 2016 Ford Transit. Friends are borrowing the van right now and are the one who pulled the van out of storage.
Thanks for your help.

If it's the OEM radio it will probably need the radio code to "re-activate"....when you remove the battery, the radio loses it's memory and is reset back to "datum".

You need the radio serial number, usually starts with a V or M then 6 digits....use this number in one of the "dozens" of free radio apps on the interweb.
