if OBD they may not work as diesels weren't OBD till 2004 and yours may have been built in 2003 but not registered till 2004
Also pull and check all fuses as ford have a habit of changing fuse diagrams

Via Ford IDS protocol. Some readers connect OK, some don't.

Your scanner might be fugged...not unheard of.

Mk6 isn't ODB-II compliant either, so just plugging any old scanner into it probably won't work. F-Super and IDS will work on Mk6.

Check all the relevant pins are still in place and not damaged on diagnostic plug
Check you have 12v on both permanent feed and ignition switched feed

And calm down and stop being a dick.

So ..... you wait til several posts in to tell us it 'used to connect up, and now it doesn't'.

Was it this same particular vehicle?
Or another one?
If the same one, what have you dicked about with on it since?

Data port is direct to the ECU via a couple of fuses, trace the pins back to the ECU plug and check continuity.

2000-2006 Transit Connects are EOBD. - No OBDII device will read/program PCM. (Just like Transit mk6)

Only Connects from 2006 onwards are OBDII Compliant.

Ford IDS will work no problem. A cheaper alternative is this F-Super2 :arrow:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/F-Interface-S ... Sw~OdVZH1B. It will work on your connect & program injectors.

It will also work on Transit mk6's

2009 Jaguar X-Type 2.0D
2010 Vauxhall Insignia- RETROFIT IN PROGRESS

Do you have Chassis ground on pin 4, signal ground on pin 5, SAE negative on pin 10, SAE positive on pin 2, Battery positive on pin 16 and can-bus high pin 6 and can-bus low on pin 14?
