Hello all,
Question regarding my Mk7, 2010, 2.2 SRFA, 115ps Engine, and coding in new injectors. Van has just clocked 150k last week and I have decided to renew the injectors.
Whilst doing some research to establish the procedure and FORScan. I realised there was considerable talk and confusion about firing order and cylinder designation for coding into the PCM.
Not wanting to get in a confuddle, and the injectors being the original factory injectors in the engine. I decided to extract the current coding from the PCM using FORScan and check which injector was where in terms of cylinder designation. I discovered the injector correction values etched on the original factory injectors matched the extracted info cylinder per cylinder precisely, as in the FORScan diagram extracted info.
My intention now is to simply enter the correction values in the cylinder sequence outlined as per the extracted FORScan info, with the new injector correction values corresponding to each injector in respect of cylinder sequence placement.
What are the thoughts about this and does anyone have info to the contrary that may define that the firing order method is to be applied irrespective of the FORScan information?
I'm not 100% sure that there may be some trick up a sleeve somewhere with FORScan that I've overlooked... or if it's just me just being over cautious!
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
