Battery changed and electrical has gone crazy

Postby BDuren » Fri Oct 25, 2024 10:26 pm

I took my 2019 transit f350xlt to the dealership to have the battery changed. Otherwise the van has worked perfectly! After 3 hours they sent me home with no radio working and to come back in a couple of days. When I got home the electrical went crazy, no windows working, no tail lights working, interior lights flashing, headlights flashing, it then sputtered and stalled out. It had to be towed back to the dealership because it won't run at all and have no idea what's wrong. But they want me to buy a alternator!!! I'm not paying for anything other than my battery!!

The dealership should have all the info available and technical info for diagnosis, it is quite new so we'll probably have less info available to us. With that said. It does seem like this to me.

Short answer 350A mega fuse on the seat base.
