2.5di 1985 crankshaft pulley bolt

Hi all Im trying to do the cambelt on a 1985 2.5di but!

I can’t get the crank pulley off I’ve tried everything scaffold bar on a 3/4” 36mm socke it won’t budge!

Any suggestions??!! :o

Perhaps someones put it in with red loctite ,..if so, the bolt will have to be heated up, to about 250c to melt the loctite. I've no idea if you are going to damage the crankshaft oil seal, or the pulley torsional rubber damper if you do this.
Or you are buying or lending a hefty air gun or battery powered impact wrench.

That’s a thought yes maybe they have I have heated it up sum.

Ive got another oil seal but I am concerned about the rubber damper.

I have been lent a tourque multiplier gonna give it a try.

Why are you taking the crank pulley off?
There's no need is there?

Did it heated bolt while cooling down pulley with water 3/4 bar pole, ow and 13 stone on the bar!

Yippee just gotta tourque it up now!

You have too take it off to change crank oil seal and timing belt.

well it needs a new crank pulley ..as the rubber is cracked, it last a few months though

To change the seal - yes
to change the belt the pulley stays on.
