I will fit an early one wire pump but until then is it a sensor etc? thank you

The filter when fitted as per instructions does not lock into place, as in it can still be pulled down wards & removed. Are these filter heads a problem?
Maybe buy a filter head with primer pump, or should I replace with a Ford head? thanks
JRHartley wrote:yeah the filter matches the old one & looks to spec',I used a mirror to check the internal lugs, just looks a bit cheap to me, Why the hell would Ford fit a filter head that can not prime the system.
JRHartley wrote:If you run out of fuel or have a leak, it will need some kind of pump to get the fuel back up to the filter head though, didn't early Transits have a lift pump? I quess the bean counters scrubbed that one out.
