Hi there folks!
I have a 2017 Transit 350HD. While trying to replace the fuel injectors, the mechanic discovered a lot of rust on the engine (Water had been pouring on it from the windshield). The nuts for the intake manifold had to be ground down. After removing this part he told me he doesn't feel comfortable replacing the injectors because they could break, or fall in the cylinders and now he will have to open the engine and all those nuts are as bad as the one on the intake. He says that this could easily cost +$10,000. How bad is the risk that this will happen? Should I take it to a dealer where they have more experience with this engine?
