N/S dipped fault - unable to diagnose

Postby Stevesthecat » Sat Aug 26, 2023 4:48 pm

Hi all, apologies if this has been asked and answered before - I had a search but couldn’t find anything applicable to my particular issue.

So a brief overview of where I am -

-Dipped Beam fault message appears and N/S stops working.
- New bulb and forscan code clear (B1D00 circuit short to ground).
- With ignition on but van not running I have full use of dipped, as if problem is fixed.
- When vehicle is running and dipped lights on after 10 seconds the ‘dipped beam fault’ message appears and the offending side will flicker on and off and then turn off and stay off.
- Turn vehicle off and on again and it starts with no fault however I am now in a loop of it not working when running.

Can anyone shed any light on this?
I have accepted I will need to take this to a professional but I would like some rough ideas on what’s happening so I don’t get pulled apart by a cowboy.

Thanks all

He hasn't been back since he asked the question nearly 2 years ago...so we'll never know.
