for the time being ill do an oil change, leave it short of the high level oil mark and observe how long it takes to to put this extra litre of diesel into the oil....knowing that its possibly evaporating some of it .
wish there was some way to work out if its the injectors or pump oil seal .
will do some reading up on this pump ..and get to know how it uses the diesel as a lubricant ..read it somewhere before, that's why i stated it ...
Are there one way valves in the injectors?
all the best.mark
Diesel is essentially oil, so it is also used as a lubricant in all diesel fuel pumps.
Injectors don't have one way valves as such.....there is the best part of 25,000psi in them at full noise so it's unlikely fuel will dribble out of them under no pressure. TDDi injectors are very reliable.
