Power folding mirrors out of sync

We have a 2022 Transit with power folding mirrors. It has the mirror knob that you pull down on in the center position to make the mirrors extend out or retract inward. Both mirrors work but they’re out of sync. One mirror will extend out while the other will retract in. I’ve tried manually pulling one in while the other is automatically in and manually pushing one out and then using the button.

The mirror I manually move will just click when I use the knob but they still remain out of sync. Tried many times. How can I get them to both automatically go to the same position?

I had this on a car (can't remember which)... it was resolved by pulling a fuse on one of the mirrors, pressing the button letting the other retract (or open as appropriate) and then replacing the fuse...
