Forscan not showing "learn pilot // learn injection pilot"

Postby 89transfers » Sat Jan 03, 2026 1:34 am

I might be misunderstanding the layout, but I’m unable to find the "Pilot Injection Re-learn" option in FORScan. I am using the latest extended version with a vLinker FS (LinkEX) cable.

So far, I have replaced and coded the injectors and reset the fuel pump, but no further calibration options are appearing. I also replaced the (SCV) valve on the high-pressure pump but cannot locate a "SCV Reset" function.

Am I missing a prerequisite step? Also, if I need to update the PCM to see these functions, will performing that update overwrite my Stage 1 tune?

Thanks for the help!

Your Forscan output shows your van is 2014 which is Euro 5, which doesn't have the same service procedures as Euro 4, however you say you changed the SCV which E5 don't have?

It also says that it's a stage V1 (euro 6) which is odd for a 2014 :?

It’s a RWD 17 seater bus (mk8) so is 2.2,but has ad-blue and is stage 6.

The pilot learn routine isn’t like a stage 4
One is a drive cycle where it relearns as you come off the throttle on overrun,
The other, revs engine while stood and ‘learns’as it comes back to idle.
Don’t think it’s even available in FDRS / IDS to be honest let alone forscan.

Just curious as to how the SCV was replaced when Euro-5/6 doesn't have one.?? :?:

Sorry maybe I'm wrong naming it as SCV (Suction Control Valve)?

The part number which I replaced was 1945275

Can you guys let me know what is the exact or recommended procedure when replacing injectors on this one?

Thank you all! and Happy New Year :D

PS: Mine have this one, got it from Ford dealer, have the old one in a box and was with my friend changing it. The motor code is UYR6 (2.2 RWD, 155PS) from 2014 with the Continental Pump (ref A2C59517043,
CONTINENTAL/VDO)

Those functions are usually only available on certain modules or firmware versions. You might need to enable advanced mode or check if your vehicle’s PCM supports those specific procedures. Updating the PCM could indeed overwrite your tune, so back it up first if you go that route.
