Cutting out

Postby Wesbro » Sat Feb 07, 2026 10:57 pm

Hi, I have a 2015 custom Ltd 2.2 diesel. Had a new Ford engine fitted last year. New injectors new clutch. Had a new alternator fitted last month and new DPF in December. Recently the van has just cut out on me twice, it won't start straight away but after an hour or two it will start but stalls first then starts OK second time. Mechanic has scanned it and the code for low fuel pressure circuit comes up, first time he changed the fuel filter and said there was a tiny amount of swarf in it but not enough to worry at present. It was fine for a few days, and he tested ut first completeing a out 30miles. Second time same codes but nothing showing a failed component or electrical faut t. Any ideas please it's very frustrating to say the least !
It is what it is, that’s just life …. :D

Could be the electric low pressure fuel pump (in tank)
Or
More likely,a poor connection at LP fuel pump fuse,in the fuse box under bonnet.
It feeds the fuel pump relay, and the fuel pump itself.

Have a read through this, contains all info you would need if this is the fault.

Reminds me of my BCM gremlins. Check the plugs going into it as well as your pump connections as Frag said
