Brake issue

Postby Dweeb » Sat Apr 25, 2026 3:18 pm

Hi, very new to this forum but I am at my whit's end. I have a 2017 ecoblue automatic and have recently changed the brake pads and one calliper on the rear brakes, this does not have electronic brakes just a standard handbrake. I finished the job and now the van won't start, says there is a brake issue. I have bled the brakes, put new pads and sensors on, tried to reset the computer by taking off the negative terminal from the battery and nothing works. Can any one help with advice please as I can't even take it to a garage to look at the problem

Disconnecting the battery in an attempt to "reset the computer" does absolutely nothing except require you to reset the clock.
