PAS Rack

Postby Aragorn » Thu Dec 15, 2005 12:40 am

Sorry for all these silly questions

im assuming fitting a PAS rack is simply the case of getting the pump and rack from a suitable model and fitting that in place of the existing stuff

is the PAS rack any quicker tho? have they used the addition of the PAS system to reduce the turns lock to lock?

also anyone know if the steeringwheel is a standard ford fitment?

cheers

You might get more joy if you gave some details of what van you've got!

If you are talking Mk3/4/5 DI with a rack already then yes its just a case of getting all the bits together and bolting them on.

i realise that it makes the steering easier to turn, but thats only really an issue when parking

i was more hoping ford had used the fact that it is an assisted rack to reduce the number of turns lock to lock but apparently not :(

and yes it is a mk5 di
