Let there be light!

Postby Lee J » Tue Dec 20, 2005 10:11 am

2001 (new shape) Transit 350 lwb.

I've got hold of a pair of roof marker lights for the front and a pair of red roof marker lights for the rear and I want to put these on the roof of my tranny. Now, I think they should come on with side lights so, where abouts would I pick up the wire to the side lights? Also, any of you know which wire it is? Is it the same wire for front and back?

any help would be good.

on my hicube i wired my marker lights into the rear lights it is just a case of running the wire to the rear door pillar then down the pillar and connect to the the right wire near the multiplug just use snap lock connecters to join them up no problems at all with mine and i am running 4 each side of the van :D as to what wire to join into i have no idea on the new transit i simply looked at the haynes manual :D

side light wiring

Postby john leeman » Tue Dec 20, 2005 6:42 pm

as per all my old tranny wiring the grey wire with a red tracer in it is for the side lights, as mentioned try with a scotch lock first. good luck.
