Fitted towbar

Postby chrisuk » Sun Jan 22, 2006 9:56 am

Hi all, fitted towbar on Thursday and all went well until I had to figure a way of getting the wire through the body, eventually got that sorted and connected to the left side of van, whilst I was there I noticed two other plugs, one with 3/4 heavy duty wires on them and the other plug seemed to have I think it was 6 thin normal wires on the plug, any ideas what these two pluga are for, went through the manual but cant see mto dig it up anywhere, towbar looks well nice, its the one that is rounded in the middle, which I had access to comp. air when I did it though...

Cheers

the 6 wre plug sounds like it may be for the ford towbar wiring loom. the 4 larger wires could be for the heated rear screen option.

I'll take pics of the towbar and the electrics concerned if thats what you are asking, hanvt tested it on a real connection but multi tester points out that all is fine, just my luck when I go and pick up the caravan in a few weeks time it flashes all over the place like a christsmas tree....
