:roll: please help I am the owner of a 2001 ford transit 350 lwb the radio is a traffic 2000 and has packed up a new one costs too bloody much so i have bought in the pub for the princely sum of 10 euro an old uncoded analogue radio with four wires coming out the back. they are Red, Green, Black and White where do i connect these without setting fire to my van .

You haven't got enough wires there to connect it up!

how about :idea: red to + black to - and green and white are for the speaker :?

is it stereo or mono, if it is stereo :
red - +12 volt supply
black - ground and both speaker negative
green - (usually right) speaker positive
white - (usually left) speaker positive

had about 6 months use (before I fitted a 7000) Its been
sitting around in the shed, I have been loathe to bin it because
it's so new.

Welcome Leonard! I think you might have been better off looking at the scrappie in a tranny, that way you could have taken it out and seen which wire was what. Penny wise and pound foolish maybe? I bought a quality radio cassette recently for £20 out of the scrappie recently.
