feedback noise

Postby jb4rrett » Sun Jan 22, 2006 8:26 pm

I have recently bought a 52 100 swb transit which has done about 60,000 miles everything is fine apart from a noise that occurs when I am driving especially when I accelarate. The only way to describe the noise is similar to when a microphone gets too close to a speaker. I would appreciate any ideas that anybody has.

Hi m8, your description doesn't give much to go on tbh :(

You say it's when you accelerate.....is it depend on road speed or engine speed?

does it do it in any gear?

does the noise change when cornering at all?

Have you got a roof rack on it?

What general area does the noise appear to come from?

feedback noise

Postby jb4rrett » Sun Jan 22, 2006 9:30 pm

the noise is intermittent and can occur in any gear and at any time but occurs mostly when accelarating hard. he noise seems to come from the dashboard/stereo but the noise can occur when the radio is off. I am going to pull the fuse out for the stereo and see if that stops it. Tomorrow I will take her out and try to narrow it down somemore. Thankyou for your help anymore would be appreciated.
