FAULT FINDING ON OVERDRIVE UNIT

Postby milly » Sun Jan 29, 2006 1:38 am

Just bought a new luton[well 1988 instead of 1987] and the overdrive dont work.Have checked switch on gear lever and no feed there have feed at the fuse for it in fuse box but not sure where wire runs next
What I would like to know are there any common faults on these systems or can anyone tell me the proceedure for checking for voltage/faults?
Many Thanks

The cable quite often breaks somewhere up the gearstick it's self, i'd give that a try as that's farly easy to check.
