It's rated at 180A. That's plenty big enough for charging and for boosting your starer battery if it's on the edge of flat. I wouldn't want to use it every time if your stater battery failed completely. The starter can draw 400-500A or more! :shock: . It'll get you out of trouble though, if you fit the overide switch.
As Joe said if you jump the two battery posities together with a lead then you aren't endangering the relay and wiring but you do have to open the bonnet and put it on! :?
