1992 Transit cooling fan.

The fan does nothing to coolant temp during the warm up phase as the thermostat is closed stopping any significant flow through the radiator until the water in the block has reached around 75degrees.

Most Transits are just starting to blow warm air after 4 miles or so with fully heated air coming at around 6 to 8 miles depending on the ambient temp.

i would think it's still going to cool the block having a beefy fan whopping round at over 1000 rpm, it causes a mini gale under the bonnet, even if there is no flow of water, i may be wrong

FOR the electric fan avenue you can get most of the bits of transit v6 ambulances ,but you may well have to put your leccy fans on a manual switch. if you want quick warm up why dont you fit one of them engine water heaters as bt used on some of there vans best wishes Billy

1 thing to remember is the di has around 2 times the water inside the block that a car engine would have and more than double the total water vol of a car so doubles the time it takes to feel heat in the cab
