DO YOU MEAN LIKE THE MK6 ICELAND TRANSIT'S, A WHITE VAN WITH ORANGE VINYL ON EACH SIDE AND BACK DOORS WITH LOGO'S ON TOO COVERING MOST OF THE VAN. SAVES SPRAYING THE VAN ORANGE.
35 years of driving, repairing, sleeping in transit's lovin every minute.
i have seen vans with the lettering removed leaving the lettering still visable is this due to the paint fading or the vinyl lettering affecting the surface of the paint? I had the same idea of getting just my business name and tel no. on the sides. andy.
the vinyl sort of leaves a slight sticky residue and yes the paint does fade a small bit best bet is once you have removed the vinyl give the van a good clean with rubbing compound will look like new in no time
if its just business details you want have you thought about removable magnetic signs can be removed when you want to go undercover and can be swopped to any vehicle.. available from signwriters on internet just search van graphics and you'll find it....not that expensive either £100-£150 for something pretty big.. In the transport trade wrapping is actually well thought of depite the cost, as it actually preserves the paint underneath and helps with resale when it's removed. BUT it depends on your budget, it is pricey and for one van I would think of the cost of putting on vinyl signwriting and having a blow over if you want to sell.
