Oil light on 2000 yr

Postby stevieb » Thu Feb 23, 2006 10:26 am

I have a 2000 plate new shape van 2.4 ltr. The oil light has come on and will not go out. I have topped up the oil. There are no leaks. I'm baffled. Any ideas?

Dodgy oil pressure switch?
Try taking the connector off of the switch, does the light go out?
If it goes, then it's good!!

Sure it's the oil light (red) and not the service light (orange)? :)

Have to ask
Even if you don't need it, grab it.
The minute you do need it, it'll be gone.

Why take the bulb out? Insulation tape over the light makes an equally good repair, and a darn sight easier and quicker too!! - did I say that?? :D

I'd say it was probably your switch too mate
