hmm where to start!

Postby Emundin » Tue Feb 28, 2006 1:25 pm

[img]Hi im very new to the trasit forum but have seen how helpfull you guys are. I hope you dont mind looking at a few photos for me and perhaps you could tell me what ive got! sorry its a bit long winded
I brought my 1998 SWB ex transco van a month ago and its been fab i have no idea how imanaged before, but i still havent worked out a couple of things
1: I have what looks like a Radio thingy behind my passanger seat, its two units, one saying ATHENA DOPRE the other is made by NOKIA there is a a cable which looks like it should have Mic on it and the wiring looks to be running to the vans 2nd battery - ive had no joy Googling these names or the numbers on the units [/img]
2: I have a box located under the passenger side dashboard that looks like it has the radio connecters in one end and a ?dab connecter on the other, this is made by motarola and looks like it should stick to the windowscreen. [img] [/[img][img]
3: The van documentation states that there used to be a sink on the rear doors and there is still a cable reading AC in situ, i was wondering if this means that there is an inverter fitted or what it may be. could i rin 240v of it?
4: finally, with the van having two batterys i was wondering if there is a simple way of knowing if the two batterys are connected to each other, so if drain one in the mornings are they both likely to be dead, i know the second battery controls the flashy light and indoor lite as it was dead when i got the van and neather worked but following charging they are fine. Sorry this post is so long and i hope it is in the right forum, any comment on one of the above would be appreciated, i hope ill get to the point where im aible to help others in time.
Thanks in advance
p.s i hope the photos are ok as its my first time posting. cheers all and safe driving[/img]

Luke has also done a sticky in the Problems forum at the end of the page :D

Little tip, I always "Preview" my posts before submitting them, that way you can check if the links all work ok
Even if you don't need it, grab it.
The minute you do need it, it'll be gone.

Hi and welcome :D (The pics didn't work)

Transco use two way radios and onboard computers in thier vans. I woulds assume that the black boxes and plugs are the remains of this setup.
Sorry cant answer the other two questions
