Nice one Neil!
Even if you don't need it, grab it.
The minute you do need it, it'll be gone.

Does the clutch have an auto adjuster or is it manually adjusted.

It's the adjuster that clicks or pings when it's got a tooth missing, how old is the cable? they do stretch till the adjuster wont take the slack up any more.

I am not sure about LdV BUT IF IT IS AUTO ADJUSTING THEN IF ITS NOT THE CLUTCH ITSELF WHICH IT PROBABLY IS NOT , THEN EITHER IT IS A WORN ADJUSTEr which you will find at top of clutch pedal which can also be worn or a stretched cable, any of which will need to be changed. Or if it is a manual adjuster it will be on the cable some where and needs a slight adjustment.
