MK 1 rear wheel cylinder identification

Postby Bob Haigh » Mon Apr 25, 2005 1:55 pm

I have a Mk 1 camper, originally a 9 seater bus, 1970, 106" wheelbase, single rear wheel. I need a new NSR wheel cylinder but am having problems getting one as there are apparently 50 pages or so for factors to plough through and without knowing the model it was based on, they are finding it impossible. Can anyone help, anyone got access to any Ford info?

The cylinder itself has a .8125 inch diameter. The vehicle is a GVW 3.2 ton , Transmission - A, Axle BCB, 9" drums lining width 1 5/8" (42mm) Chassis number BCO5LC 59867 CCA

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Part number BWC 5098 is a 21mm bore rear cylinder for early single wheel transits.Should help with a cross reference check at your factors or you can order direct from http://www.brakeparts.co.uk cost about £14..00p.(you need to register to use the site).Linings should be 45mm wide
Hope this helps
Regards Kevin.
