SMILEY 2.5 Di WON'T START FIRST THING

CHANGED EVERY THING, DODJEY INJECTOR BETTER BATTERY, FUEL FILTER NEW AIR FILTER, STARTER SPINS OVER FAST ENOUGH , BUT JUST GETS SLOWER AND SLOWER. YET TOW IT OFF AND THE ENGINE ONLY TURNS ONLY 1/2 A REVOLUTION AND SHE'S AWAY. THEN PURFECT AFTER THAT, RULING OUT FUEL SYSTEM TROUBLE ? , I COULD BE WRONG. THIS ONE HAS GOT ME BAFFELED, HELP !.

take it youve checked the wires to the starter and the earth lead john :?

If the van will start as soon as you use a jump pack or something then you know it's bad connections.

check the voltage at the stop solenoid when the engine is cranking.

alternator

I found the same problem was cured by chopping the alternator electrical block connector (back of alternator) off of the wire and putting on new separate spade connectors, did the trick for me . use loads of tape to prevent arcing

WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT, BATTERY SPLIT ALLOWING ACID OUT OF 1 CELL EVENTUALLY. CLEAN & PAINT BATTERY SHELF, NEW 096 BATTERY AND BOB'S YOUR UNCLE. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT. I SHOULD HAVE.
