A trip to our local scrapyard with a tape measure has revealed that early mk3 springs do indead fit a mk1. However we spied a brace of mk2 trannys in his yard, so a pair of good springs were duly removed from a long wheelbase twin rear wheeled mk2 panel van, along with the front beam, vented discs with four pot calipers(decent brakes at last) and the final jewel in the crown, a 4.63 back axle. All for the princely sum of £75.00(bargain).

Where is this temple?? It's a bit of a schlep for me, but are there any decent vinyl seats?

Unfortunately the seats in both vans were ripped. Not much left of them now. They are just about ready for the crusher.

Fair enough, thanks anyway. If you go thier and they are still there, the other silly bit I need is the collar off the clutch cable. The AA lost the one of our panel van, and the adjustment is pants now! It doesn't come with the cable, and you can't get them from Ford any more. The later ones have automatic adjustment so it's the scrappie or nothing. Gonna post this in wanted.....
