yours is 76ps n/a isnt it??? if so yours will be a bosch pump lucass epics were only fitted to turbos after 1992-2000 :D
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Been out fiddling with the engine...

Image

not to happy with this area, too many changes needed

Image

Much happier with this, would have fully removed the air box - but i dont have all my tools in the van

It fits here, needs a few brackets, but that aint no problem - if you own a tranny - you really should be handy at metal work lol

a few questions now - the egr seems to totally self contained, so can i remove the full unit, and put a blanking plug on the manifold??

Image

The plan is looking like running the boost pipe straight from the s/c to where the egr is mounted on the intake pipe :)

more soon :)

What about your NOX emissions for the MOT :?:
Weren't these EGR thingies meant to help :?: Otherwise why were they fitted in the first place :?:

Also, I thought you were going to fit the unit where the A/C compressor goes :?:

The EGR was fitted to come inline with new EU rulings, but without it you are still well within the MOT emisions tests.

i will deal with mot when that (dreaded) time comes (i will get a new mot just before i fit it)

I was seriously considering mounting in the ac position, but (with limited tools) so attempt 2 seemed ideal - nice and high and a very short distance for the air to travel from s/c to intake. (this is good)

i just scraped a 1/4" thick layer of gunk/crap/oil deposits ect off the flapper in the egr - that really cant help airflow.
