tourneo rear heater probs

hi all, 1st post. touneo glx 2.0d fwd, aircon front and back.
rear heater blows cold, so stripped it down and seems that matrix is not getting hot, could this be air in system. the pipes are hot even past the water valve
also fitting new water pump soon (bleed system etc..) any help greatly appreciated

what year and miles she done, as if there is a lot of brown sh*t in pipes matrix might be blocked. dissconect pipes and put hot steamcleaner through. is it blowing through the rear low vent cold.?? or no air at all. duz valve move by hand, and are you sure you are not feeling the heat up to that point.

02 plate 205k tidy allround cond. blows cold through rear low vent. the white valve that operates the internal flaps moves by hand. (was disconnected when i removed cover, so plugged it in and it just clicks slowly so new one of them needed...high miles is still high miles.
good job i dont mind getting my hands dirty once in a while

blew cold out top vents, also how do i find out what ps engine is in ? thanks in advance
