fuel gauge problem, help please

hi
my mk5 transit has its fuel gauge stuck on full all the time regardless of the fuel amount inside the tank, any ideas whats wrong??, anyone had this prob before???

Could be the sender on the tank is duff, or it could be the moving scale on the dash. I'd plump for the first though, it's highly unlikely the moving coil will be faulty.

I would agree, plus its easier to try a new gauge than a new sender :)

More likely a chaffed wire.
