oh how i love the snow lol

taking the dear old wife to work this morning i had some right fun


got half a mile along the road and could hear a clicking from engine area , then power started to go down over about 1/4 mile , to the point i just got it into a side road before it conked out

hum i thought , starved of fuel, so popped the diesel filter off and it was a right mucky colour , drained it into a near by snow drift and had a good look down the middle , ice !!!!

this and i was just talking about it in a thread a few days ago lol


had a good poke at it with some wire and dumped the ice i could get out into the snow , gave it a few extra helps down the filter material and refitted , quick bleed and started right up , off to work dropped the misses off and back home by way of the motor factors for a new filter


morel of the story , when you say to someone bleed the water out of a filter for safety in this cold weather , DO IT TO YOUR OWN AS WELL

i blame the cold hands i have and my wrap round keyboard , the keys are all in the wrong place and i cant feel my fingers lol
