FORD TRANSIT HALF SHAFT SEAL

Have ford transit 53 plate mwb rwd 90 350 td back seal on half shaft has went, oil all over brake shoes etc mechanic has taken wheel off, drum off, shoes etc half shaft wouldnt come out was told too take axle centre coverplate off has done this taken out large pin on axle cloggs was then told too take off locking circlip off end of half sha :D ft but cannot get this off is there something else needing done or special tool.
Please help as need my van back.

have you got ABS ? if so take the sensor off and the shaft will push in far enough to get the clip off

+1 yes push shaft towards centre of axel, you should be able to get snap ring off

Yes abs fitted new to forum so do not know if I am doing this correctly to reply.
Appreciate answers is the abs sensor easy to come off easily damaged and if damaged expensive to replace.

its just one little bolt takes the sensor off , sometimes if the bolts rusty can be difficult to get off without snapping it cause its only a 6mm thread i think so spray a bit of wd40 on the bolt , but take it out and the sensor will come off,
