hello does any one no if the later 16 inch wheels will fit a mark 5-6 i have a lwb 100 n reg smiley face transit with 14 inch wheels .

i bought a set thinking they would fit my mk 5 1997 they did not fit expensive mistake

I'm sure you can make them fit but they aren't a direct replacement.

the mk6 pcd is the same as the mk5 (5x160) but the mk6 has 14mm studs and the mk5 has 12mm but more importantly the mk6 wheels are centred on the hub and the nuts just hold the wheels on - but on the mk5 the wheel is centred on the studs

mk6 wheels have been fitted to mk5's but you should have the wheel centred on the hub -not sure on the boss size on the front but on the back there isnt one so you would need to have the wheel centred on the studs so you would need to pay attention to this when selecting nuts
