blowing black smoke

i have a 2006 tdci 135bhp blowing black smoke only done 45,000mls.have changed egrvalve,fuel and air filter.it also makes a blowing or suction noise when under load any ideas

see if the intercooler pipe is damaged split etc, better off just blanking off egr, that wont give you any hassle at all then

As above,intercooler pipe (upto egr valve usually) splits,get someone to rev it up while you look/feel for the air rushing out.
There is usually oil around area,if not that check intercooler itself they split or even swell up & burst :shock:

checked intercooler pipe to egr had small crack in pipe contaminated from leaking vacuum pump oil had weakened pipe,thanks
