FORD TRANSIT CUSTOM 1972

Postby joereds » Fri Jan 29, 2010 11:13 am

Hi everyone. I am writing from Italy as I wish to check the correct & original (manufactured) tyres' size of a Ford Transit Custom dated 1972 9 seater.
I am very grateful if anyone who is absolutely certain could help.
Many thanks
Joe

Hi, the rear wheels are single and no twin, it's a normal 9 seater:( 8 + driver minubus )...they used to be yellow mainly for transport passengers. When my dad bought it new in 1972 probably manufactured in the UK or Germany it came with 195x14. I just need to double check officially this information as I have a dispute with documents here in Italy and FORD Italy is useless and slow to reply. Thanks.

I'll take a picture and will put it here.. the problem is due to a mistake on the booklet where it says that the size of tyres should be 185/14
