I might be wrong, but it looks like 14-15 cfm's all i'm gonna get on single phase 240v?.

have seen 18 cfm on 240v from machine mart ,

if 14-5 is all you can get try and get one with a big tank so it has a chance of working for a bit before you need to let it fill up and try to run the output pressure as low as you can and still take stuff off , they are designed to work at 90 psi for blasting but if you can take the slower removal at say 60 it gives the pump more of a chance to keep up

also the lower pressure is less likely to warp tin sheet with heat

thanks for that snapon!. what set up have you got (if you don't mind me being nosy?). I don't know much about compressors and pnuematics but I know a bit about sand!, I reckon that would be silver sand ( its the finest building sand and about £60 a ton) and it nearly flows like water when its really dry. If that sands ok then sandblasting ain't gonna be a dear passtime (is it??). 14 cfm SIP compressor coming up for sale. Do you reckon it could cope at a push? . i know you advise 15cfm minimum bazw but there ain't one about in my price range just now and I'm wanting to get on. I ought to learn patience 'eh.

Sorry for the delay in answering mate I have a 3hp V twin 50ltr 14 cfm single phase and a 2hp 50ltr single phase both running but it works
Bit of advice dont get one of these they are C#@p

thanks lads!. gonna look into the 18cfm machine mart machine 'cause i would like to be yon' side 0f 15 cfm ( no point asking advice and not followin it 'eh?) I'm rarin to go here!.
