minibus lap belts

Postby spikefreeway » Sat Jan 30, 2010 10:22 pm

I have an L reg (smiley face the model before the actual the smiley face!) former 16 seater minbus which I have converted to use as a camping/shed dragger/dog walking/days out bus with the front 9 seats still intact. It is fitted with lap belts which my kids are giving me hard time over them not being safe enough so how hard is it to fit a few 3 pointers, can I convert some of the lap belts, I have 3 kids so how can I do this very very cheaply. Any help would be great, thanks

You need the seats from the later Smiley minibuses, which have full belts built into them. I'm not 100% sure, but they should bolt into the same mounting holes

cheers yes I believe they will fit well any from L reg to W. Anyone know of anyone/anywhere with any I can recover and or repad these fairly easily, so any conditon would be fine, Yorkshiire area but I can get further afield if needed.

Cheers

Keep your eye on the "parts for sale" on here, or even the "free to a good home" section. These are quite commonly available as people de-seat the minibuses to 'camperise' or 'van' them
Ebay is a good place to look also
