Y reg transit running very slow

Postby g50 » Sun Jan 24, 2010 2:02 am

Hi,

I've got a Y reg long wheel base low top transit and its sooooo slow!

There are no warning lights, no glow plug light flashing. The EGR has been replaced but made no difference.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what it could be? The turbo is boosting - if you squeeze a boost pipe and rev it you can feel the pressure build.

Any help will be massivley appreciated.

Thanks

Sorry, it could be a medium wheel base... there is about a 6" roof above the side door line.

Im not fully clued up on these vans so please excuse me for my ignorance.

How can i tell what power it is?

Thanks for your help :D

It feels like it hasn't even got a turbo at the min - even when empty the slightest bit of hill and you going through the box like crazy. I was told that it was probably the EGR valve so had that changed but made no difference.

Could it be fuel filter or fuel pump? Its recently had a service but i know the filter hasn't been changed.

Thanks

The bad news is, you have a combination of a long wheel base van, with a medium/tall differential and the lowest output engine ever fitted to these vans :| So I guess it sounds about right :!:

The good news is, you can fit an intercooler and it's pipes etc...from say a 90ps model and get our vantuner to chip it up for you
