TURBO 190 2.5.. COLD STARTING PROBLEM.

Hi there,, I have 2000 190, turbo. and its having trouble starting from cold,,
its runs fine when its wormed up..

what should i check out to fix this problem??.

hi there, yes sorry, its spining over fine,, it fires but then stops,, you have to put your foot full down on thr gas, then keep restarting untill it keeps running, , once is running, you have to wait for it to worm up as there no power..., once or twice, it starts runs , but nothing happens when you put your foot down , , then after its wormed up its ok,,, and is find though out the day.
Iv only just got this van , cam cover has a sticker on it say cambelt was changed at 195456.
its now on, 195630.

i take it is an old shape transit with a lucas epic pump on it they do suffer with throttle pedals a fair bit but sometimes the pump will give that fault to but more often than not you will find its the pedal not sending a signal to the pump worth checking fault codes to see if anything is logged

Try a new fuel filter :idea: the one that's on at the moment sounds like it isn't sealing properly, allowing the fuel to drain back to the tank and causing air to enter the system :!:
Other than that, check and tighten (without over tightening) all the visible pipes from filter to pump :idea:
