If anybody could help me about how to change the timing chain on ford transit '99 2.00 cc petrol

is it a chain or belt thought ohc was belt :?: do a search thru mk5 threads

MK5 Petrol = Chain :wink:

Its the 8v DOHC engine, also used in the later Sierras and Scorpios :D
I had a quick look on the Sierra forum http://forum.fordsierraclub.co.uk/ but I couldn't find a complete thread on the subject for you :( It would seem that the chains last for about 100k, but the problem with them, is the plastic tensioners used :shock:

if i rember right didnt dohc have a metal gear on a plastic or bakerlite middle, or vice versa which also caused probs
