Programming injectors on a 2.0TDCI duratorq

Hi Guys, couple of answers to questions. Injectors are reconditioned, Fords want £276.00 each plus vat,
That tool looks a bargain for only £50.00 might get one of them i would save a fortune.
No loss of power on the bus but spoke to a garage and they said programming is only for the fine tuning, some thing to do with emissions etc. got four injectors to put in my mondeo will do that tomorrow and will let you know if it starts or not, fingers croosed it will. Just a point aswell the mondeo and transit injectors change in lenght from around the 55 plate and they are not interchangable, so be carefull what you buy.

that ford price is a rip of try another dealer next time as for the garage saying its for fine tuning yes it is but if you dont recode they wont last as long some vans wont run without recoding, if you dont have them recoded it will invalidate the garrantee on the injectors and at £200+ it aint worth chancing

Hi Guys, fitted new injectors in my mondeo started but run very rough, took it for a ride got a lot better but very lumpy on tickover and up to 1500rpm, programmed injectors and now running sweet, garage charged £40.00 to programe them so now going to buy tool of E-bay for £50.00 and programme the ones in my bus myself. i found out myself that the programming is only for the fine running and tickover, some thing to do with emmission etc. I didnt buy the injectors from fords bought them from an injection centre in Cardiff.
