Catalytic converter theft

Postby jake72 » Mon Feb 08, 2010 10:25 am

Hello all,
Been a while since I have posted, writing on behalf of a friend who runs a small van hire company.
Guess what ! a cat converter was stolen over the weekend, not for the first time.
Any ideas on who to stop the scrotes getting any more!
We were thinking of welding chain or bar along the joins, any other ideas?
Thanks

Mate of mine welds barbed wire to all the cats on his fleet vehicles. Around the joints and around the cat box itself. He's come across silled blood sedveral times but never lost a cat

as trevor said get someone to make up straight thru pipe where cats supposed to be, better breathing engine, they aint going to nick a pipe, you dont need it for an mot.big prob by me with the hgv dealers, they have to remove cats until they sell there stock.
