There is a dowel at each end. Like PSV says be careful of the injector tips, or if they want to come out remove em

Forgot to remove the bolt that holds the timing cover to the head
All loose now, backs not great so will await my mate to give me a chip lifting it

Good plan, you dont want to be dragging the head over the new gasket either so get him to give you hand putting it back (a lot easier with 2 people)
