Bolts slacken in head

05 transit 115 three 30
48k miles
mechanic says bolts has slackened inside head bent now. He says now common fault. What is the best way to fix :?:

Sorry mate, cant quite get my head round what you are trying to say. try give a bit more info, and you will get a good response.

Which bolts? inside head? What is bent? I assume you mean the cylinder head bolts have come loose, if they had you would have a trashed engine. Cylinder head bolts coming loose....I've never heard of it. at that mileage the engine must still be original and still as built at the factory.

more likely cam carrier bolts and the carrier is cracked.

My mechanic says it is the bolts on the rocker shaft and the threads are stripped in the cam box

+1 yes carrier prob cracked ,then bolts come loose, usaly the timing has jumped causes this..bad bit about this is the head will be fine,but you need a matched carrier and head, as there machined together, if your using a independant garage /mechanic,make sure he no,s this as you will be doing the job again, if not matched up...the head and carrier are lazer etched on the side with the same numbers...also there are 3 different,head gaskets, identified by 1,2,or 3 cut outs, just to let you no a new head and carrier from the dealers is £500+vat,

got the cam and head what else should i change
timing tensioner?

oil,filter.. check rocker rail aint bent, make sure all bolts are in very good condition, if in dout change them, ford advise to renew bolts,
