will not turn over

TRANSIT 03 2.4 125PS,I HAVE HAD GEARBOX OFF TO CHANGE CLUTCH ALSO STARTER MOTOR
NOW THE VAN WON'T TURN OVER,I HAVE FITTED A USED STARTER AND SAME THING,CAN ANYONE HELP WITH WHAT TO CHECK.

Check the main battery live to starter motor, then switch to crank position on key and check the switched feed to the solenoid. also check that you haven't forgotten to re-connect an earth on the bellhousing, easy way to do that is connect one jumper cable to a lifting eye on the engine and then to the battery earth this will eliminate an earthing problem.

THANKS A LOT FOR THAT,A NOVICE ERROR I FORGOT THE EARTH STRAP ON THE BELL HOUSING I WASTED A LOT OF TIME FROM THIS TESTING FUSES ETC AND BUYING ANOTHER STARTER,THOUGH THE OTHER ONE WAS ON ITS WAY OUT.AH WELL,I AM JUST HOPING THE CLUTCH IS OK NOW
