alternator t350 02 plate

Right will start from the begining, battery light came on and battery ost power so changed alternator and battery.
after doin this battery light was off however after a couple of days battery went dead AGAIN then discovered the green and white wire to the alternator
had broken off the plug so got another plug and joined wires up and presto worked for 5 minutes then on came the battery light again. any ideas would be much appreciated as cant afford garage bills.
